Today, we embarked on a new lesson in my American Literature class, and it hit me - we were on the cusp of completing an entire unit. It's a milestone that fills me with pride. Unit Completion: A Proud Achievement While I may not see my 9th graders finish this unit before my departure, they will come close. It's a testament to their hard work and my dedication as their teacher. We've navigated the challenges together, and I'm filled with gratitude for the journey we've embarked on. The Classroom Fire: A Lesson in Crisis Management But today's triumph didn't come without its share of drama. We had a minor classroom fire - yes, you read that right! Our charging station, a clever ploy to keep students focused during class, became the source of an unexpected incident. A damaged cord sparked a tiny blaze, and I could smell something burning.
