Embarking on an Educational Journey: Ms. J's Student Teaching Adventure

Greetings! I am Ms. J, a dedicated and passionate individual embarking on an exciting journey in the world of education. As the fall of 2023 approaches, I am eagerly preparing to take on the role of student teacher. Currently pursuing my teaching degree in secondary language arts at Upper Iowa University, I am committed to honing my skills and knowledge to become an effective educator. My educational background is diverse and enriching. I hold a bachelor's degree in communication studies, a field that has granted me valuable insights into effective communication and interpersonal dynamics. Additionally, I possess a master's degree in communication with a specialized focus on marketing, which has equipped me with a keen understanding of strategic messaging and audience engagement. My upcoming student teaching experience is set to be both enlightening and rewarding. Over the course of the fall semester, I will be spending the initial eight weeks at West High School in Waterloo, immersing myself in a high school environment to foster a strong foundation in language arts education. Following this, the subsequent eight weeks will see me at Central Middle School, where I will continue to cultivate my teaching skills while working with younger students. With a background in communication and marketing, along with a genuine passion for education, I am excited to bring a unique perspective to my student teaching role. I look forward to engaging with students, collaborating with fellow educators, and making a positive impact on the learning journey of each student I encounter. The fall of 2023 holds great promise, and I am thrilled to contribute to the growth and development of students at West High School and Central Middle School.
